MPI Financial pays 8-10% rates of return on loans secured by physical assets. Since 2012, MPI Financial has borrowed over $1,000,000 and has already repaid over $700,000.
MPI Financial provides high rates returns on loans provided by individuals, retirement plans, and institutions. These loans are secured by physical assets for the entertainment industry, including cast, make-up, and wardrobe trucks and trailers. MPI then provides lease financing to studio equipment rental companies, who are in need of specific vehicle types for which conventional financing is not available.
MPI was founded by Gary Glass and Louis Dargenzio. Gary’s and Louis’ families have been friends since 1972 when Louis’ dad, Louis Jr, and Gary met in Junior High. They attend the same Junior and Senior High Schools in Burbank, CA and were brothers in the local DeMolay chapter.
Upon Louis Jr’s passing in 2006, Gary and Louis-III became closer and closer friends over many many games of Robert Kiyosaki’s CashFlow game. Ever since, Gary and Louis have discussed business on a regular basis and currently have many plans for the future of MPI, Zio and other businesses.
Louis entered the entertainment industry as a honey wagon driver and has consistently taken on more responsibility since then and today is a transportation coordinator for many projects as large as full feature films.
Partly from discussions over CashFlow games, Louis decided to purchase a passenger van, then a second, and continued to grow from there. Today Louis is the owner of Zio Studios Equipment Rental Inc which owns well over 130 rental vehicles, production supplies, and other items rented in the entertainment industry. Gary has been a consultant since the beginning with a goal of maintaining and growing the business.
In 2014 Zio earned $2.8M on nearly 140 vehicles and has lots of room to grow. Given the debt and income projections, Zio plans to have 200, 300 and 400 vehicles respectively in 2015, 2016 and 2017. MPI Financial is a vehicle to assist Zio and other studios equipment rental companies to be able to get needed financing in this tight and unserviced niche market.
